This project was tailored to patients undergoing various neoadjuvant therapies for breast cancer and aims at prioritizing patients for surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic healthcare restrictions. Our client requested a programme that calculates the patient’s risk of disease progression automatically based on patient and disease features, as well as the length of time since treatment began, taking into consideration the critical window of opportunity for operating after chemotherapy ends.

This tailor-made program made extensive use of conditional and branching logic as well as calculated fields to produce an interactive database of risk and recommendation that streamlines the process and provides a track record for audit and research.
